XOLO Q3000 Review

One of our most favourite budget smartphone makers have taken an aggressive step towards a powerful mid ranged phone. Xolo has recently released the XOLO Q3000. Users, who have used XOLO, know that this company is reliable and they actually provide what they specify. XOLO Q3000 is a powerhouse. Obviously it is much faster than the Q1000+ or any other smartphone by Xolo for that fact. Let us have a closer look at what they have in store for us.

XOLO Q3000 is a pretty large phone. It is not exactly heavy but not light as well. The built of the phone feels pretty standard at you would not feel reluctant to hold it. Your pocket might not feel too well having it because of the space it takes. The edges feel kind of setback in terms of quality. The material on the back is really smooth and soft, it is the matte built we are all familiar with on the smartphones. On the bright side, the phone is really very slim and looks great to others.

On such a large phone, it is mandatory to have an amazing display. You don’t want to look at a large distorted and pixilated display do you? XOLO Q3000 has a 5.7 inch FULL HD Display. Yeah it is actually FULL HD! It is bliss to just look at how accurate this display is compared to the “allegedly” full HD display on the Micromax Canvas HD. Xolo Q3000 is an absolute amazing platform to watch movies while travelling or play games anytime, anywhere.

Though the XOLO Q3000 has a 13MP camera on board, don’t expect it to be like the one on Samsung Galaxy S4 or Note III or any high end phone for that matter of fact. It is pretty decent for what it is. You can almost use it as a primary camera for the holiday photographs. It certainly gives you all the features you need on a camera i.e the HDR, Panorama, optical image stabilization etc. XOLO Q3000 takes really crisp and clean full HD videos from this camera. The front facing camera is more than just reliable for video calls.

Android is one of the most powerful ecosystems in today’s world of mobile OS. It gives you a very open platform to use and to create. XOLO Q3000 is made of this foundation. It runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean which gives you full power to customize. The UI on the XOLO Q3000 is pretty standard and it gives you pretty decent widgets for quick information. It goes without saying that with Android v4.2 you also get one of the highest qualities of apps.

This one right here is one of the most powerful phones there is under this price bracket. It has a specialized MTK processor, optimized especially for XOLO Q3000. On board, is a 1.5GHz Turbo Quad Core Processor along with 2GB of RAM making it one of the most fluent and smooth phones in it’s price bracket. There is no NFC sadly on the XOLO Q3000 but you can use the Bluetooth v3.0 for sharing and pairing. It gives you 16GB of internal storage, stick to that don’t expand otherwise you will just be messing with your processor and RAM.

Final Thoughts

Xolo Q3000 is a very smart buy for anyone who is looking for a large display phone with incredible power and quality at a lower price. It is not entirely low but then it provides tremendous quality for anyone. Go ahead if that is what you want, otherwise you can look for the mainstream companies with less power and smaller display.

Xolo Q3000 comes for Rs. 20400
