XOLO Q2000 Review

XOLO on the likes of Micromax and Lava produces some great phones with a very appealing price tag. XOLO Q2000 comes as the first actual phablet from XOLO, it carries a 5.5 inch display. So yeah that explains the name “phablet”. It is yet another powerful smartphone from XOLO’s kitty. It has some crazy specs. Read ahead to know better.

XOLO has one of the best builds from the small companies that make the phones for the budget smartphone category as well but are now stepping up to more mid ranged phones. XOLO never compromises on build quality, XOLO Q2000 has a little bit different structural design. Though it is significantly larger, it fits nicely in your hands and pants. It is a bit thicker than usual. So that is that. The finishing is more matte like and it feels really nice in the hands.

As I have told you, this phone has a 5.5 inch display. With display of that size, it has to beautiful otherwise it is just a waste. This one has a 720p HD display on board. We still have not seen a proper full HD 1080p display from this budget smartphone maker but hope to see them soon. This one has got some nice colours. It is not pixilated and one must see the price tag and be more than happy to take this as your primary device for next few years. Viewing angles on this new XOLO Q2000 are really good, it gives you good view even in direct sunlight.

XOLO Q2000 comes with a 13MP primary camera. It takes really amazing photographs. I mean really the lenses on the XOLO smartphones were always good and now they just got better. Of course the extra megapixels help the resolution and details but not the actual accuracy and overall semantics. The pictures do look a bit flushed out in colours but that is okay in this case considering the price. The primary sensor on the Q2000 also takes gorgeous full HD videos. The front camera is ideal for video calls and selfies for the Instagram. Cool eh? Surely is.

Now that is world has started the transition to KitKat v4.4 Android and v4.3 Jelly Bean, these companies have started to get to v4.2 Jelly Bean on most of their phones. It has a lot of APIs that the developers have used to make your apps really amazing. It surely gives you full power on customization and to call your phone “your phone”. It really has tons of apps to use from. The user interface looks clean and really nice.

XOLO Q2000 has a 1.2GHz Quad Core processor and 2 gigs of RAM that helps this phone to perform like a beast. It lags but that is really less. For sharing it has Bluetooth and microUSB. It does not have the NFC technology yet. The battery life is amazing and gets you through more than one day of moderate usage. The XOLO Q2000 is truly a good performer.

Final Thoughts

XOLO Q2000 though amazing is still like a “neh” kind of a deal. You know there are better things out there. I can rather buy a 5 inch or even a 4.5 inch display phone that provides me better. It is not a bad choice itself but it does not draw it much towards itself.

XOLO Q2000 is priced at Rs. 14000
