Xiaomi Mi 3 vs Moto G 2014

The most heated price range to put any phone in Indian market is the budget range because it has the most consumers. Xiaomi Mi3 and Motorola Moto X 2014 are probably the 2 best phones available in this price range. But which one is actually better? Which one would you rather pay for?

These phones are really amazing in design for their price tags. I think one has a better design and the other has the better built quality. If you have ever held a Xiaomi Mi3, you know the better built quality is probably that one and the better design would be the Moto G 2014. It is the better design because the curve on the back and the thinner design is better both for your hand and your pocket. Even though the quality of build is better on the Mi3, it is much more comfortable on the Moto G 2014. The matte shell casing grips you better and sooths you in a way the metallic built does not. Design: Motorola Moto G 2014.

Xiaomi Mi3 has a full HD 5 inch display and the Moto comes with a 5 inch 720p HD display. So yeah, the Xiaomi Mi3 is the denser display. It just looks so much more beautiful. It is colour vibrant and it has good detailing as well. The colours though vibrant are artificial and look very computerized, they do not look natural. Moto G 2014’s display is nice, but not as dense or detailed as much as the Xiaomi. It has better colour but you can see the Xiaomi flourishing and performing betterin video playback and image quality. Display: Xiaomi Mi3.

The Xiaomi Mi3 has a much better camera. There is no debating here to be done. Xiaomi Mi3’s camera has a much better finish under any lighting conditions. It looks detailed, colourful and with a good contrast as well. Moto G 2014 has a warmer tone to its photos. Also the Xiaomi Mi 3 has a 13MP camera and Moto G 2014 comes with an 8MP camera but the number does not really matter. Moto G 2014 has a better camera user interface though. Xiaomi Mi3 does not have that much firepower but it takes better photos. That is what matters. Camera: Xiaomi Mi3.

There is no beating the Xiaomi UI which updates on a very regular basis with new features and improvements. Moto G 2014 is a more vanilla Android , pure Android without any actual layered UI. Xiaomi does not slow down the phone with it’s UI and that is just a wonder. Both the phones are running the Android v4.4.4 KitKat Android OS. I love what Xiaomi has done. Software: Xiaomi Mi3.

There is a great contrast in both the phone’s processors. Both of them have Qualcomm processors, Xiaomi Mi3 comes with Snapdragon 800 processor and the Moto G 2014 has a Snapdragon 400 processor. So it is a no brainer as to which phone are leaps and bounds faster. Xiaomi Mi3 is, just incase you have zero clue about which processor came before. Xiaomi Mi3 has a larger and hence the longer battery life. Peformance: Xiaomi Mi3.

Overall Winner: Xiaomi Mi3
