Taking gaming to the new level: Oculus Rift Crystal Cove at CES 2014

The future of gaming is here. Forget about the 3D gaming graphic cards and Alienware or even your console. There is a company out there which is doing something so big even those consoles hooked on 55 inch Ultra HD 4K displays would look poor. Oculus is a Virtual Reality related company. They are developing a VR hardware that would allow you to immerse yourself in a game like never before. The prototype that was currently showcased at CES 2014 was “Crystal Cove”.

So in this, you basically wear this equipment on your head. It has various sensors and cameras that will track your motion and movement as accurate as your actual movements. It contains a high resolution OLED display. As it is a total mounted device and it makes you think you are having a crazy time in the game, when you come out you might feel a bit disoriented. Using the device, looking at the display can be a little blurry because of the experience and the next model will surely covered that over. If you can get your hands on this big boy, there is a good chance you will not be able to wait to get your hands off it.
