Skype Updated!

A new update to the Skype app just popped up in the Google Play Store which has a picture-in-picture feature for phones. This feature was long overdue for phones as the tablet users have been using it since last year. This feature allows you to continue your work on the phone while the video call is going. You can move the video call window into any one of the corners and get back what you were doing.

The Skype now claims that the chats load a little faster than earlier with this new update. You can now also receive photos on Skype from iPhone users.

Another interesting feature that is provided with this update is text formatting. You can now send your texts in bold, italic, strikethrough and many more.

The update will also enable Indian users to chat with ease as it now has native support for Hindi. With this new update, Skype is now justifying its description which they have posted on the Google Play Store “There’s so much you can do, right from the palm of your hand”.

With Skype available on smartphones and tablets, recent reports suggest that soon it will be introduced to web browsers also.
