Samsung Galaxy S5 Preview

Samsung Galaxy S5 is finally here. As excited as I was to hear this, that excitement was short lived. Looking at Galaxy S5, I really feel that they have reached their saturation point in innovation like most of the other companies. There are more hardware upgrades rather than anything too wow on the software side. Read on and see what the new Samsung flagship has on offer.

Just considering the looks and feel of the Samsung Galaxy S5, it certainly looks the same from the front but does not feel the same. Samsung Galaxy S5 ditches the overly glossy back panel and acquires a softer touch one. The back panel is texturized. The phone is actually heavier, thicker and larger clouding my doubts on Samsung Galaxy S5’s portability. It is more or less the same as GS4 and the built quality is certainly not as awesome as HTC or Apple’s standards.

The display of the Samsung Galaxy S5 remains the same full HD, just larger. It now fancies a 5.2 inch full HD display. It offers you the same overly saturated colours that seem too artificial but the display is really sharp and it certainly amazing. It will be a tad less sharper and cleaner than Galaxy S4’s display because of the lesser pixel density.

The new developments on the Samsung Galaxy S5 come from the new finger print scanner which like the HTC One Max, is located at the back. It also has a heart rate monitor there. Also, it has a better senor now. You get a 16MP primary camera capable of shooting video in 4K along with great features that amplify the smartphone camera experience. Samsung Galaxy S5 is also dustproof and waterproof. That is something commendable I would say.
No, there is no 64 bit for the Samsung Galaxy S5. You get a 2.5GHz Quad Core Snapdragon 801 processor and 2GB of RAM. With internal memory models of 16 and 32GB you can choose to expand this to as much as 128GB! Samsung Galaxy S5 will be on TouchWiz which carries on it’s software features from GS4. Samsung Galaxy S5 runs on the Android v4.2.2 KitKat. Samsung Galaxy S5 will be available in April.
