Samsung Galaxy Note III Preview

Wow, I it and still wow. Why would I say that? Well because finally Samsung has done something significantly different in design and built quality. They have made it lighter, reduced the bezel size and made the Note III look absolutely stunning. The slim design suits it and makes it look better than any other Samsung Galaxy device we have ever seen. For starters the device is more rectangular in shape and has this cool leather back panel. They come in various colours to add clarity and individuality to your Samsung Galaxy Note III. The front bezel is the same amazing metallic built we are all familiar with.

Samsung Galaxy Note III was introduced with this tag- Bigger, Lighter, Faster and Thinner. They have absolutely done everything right in making this possible. The result is the best seen Samsung Galaxy device. And mind you, it is fast really very fast. With 2.3GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB (yeah 3 freaking gigabytes) of RAM there is no stopping this beast of a device. We can’t tell you if it will lag with time or not because we haven’t actually held it or tested it. But we do know that “THAT” is some serious hardware right there. It also has a rear camera which has a 13MP sensor capable of wait for it- 4K VIDEO RECORDING! Not just full HD but 4K!

5.7 inch full HD 1080p display has made its way on the new Samsung Galaxy Note III. It is surely like no other display you have ever seen. It is just so beautiful, so dense, it is so rich in colour with full compliments going to the detailing of each pixel. Larger display allows you to do more and more effectively. It also gives you that new sense on using the new S Pen and the bunch of new features it brings on the table. You buy a Note not only because it is large and beautiful but because of the bundle of features it brings to the table.

So let’s talk the basic selling point here- the software. Samsung Galaxy Note III will run the Android v4.3 Jelly Bean. Though we know Google recently announced the Android v4.4 Kitkat we are still unaware weather this device will be getting an update of that version of Android. Android v4.3 will bring bunch of new APIs out of which the most crucial one would be to give you access to “actual” full HD streaming over apps that incorporate it. The most powerful tool here is the S Pen. Tap on the display and it will give you options on the display by “Air Command” so that you can just hover your S Pen over the display and choose any. The features it gives you access to are- Action Memo, Spcarbooker, Screen Write, S Find and Pen Window.

Action Memo allows you to take a quick note anytime no matter what you are doing, encircle it and you can do a bunch of things with it- launch any app that can make use of it.
In Scrap Booker you can take any content from any app- text, video or images and save it. You can also go and reveal the source of the scrap you had saved. The scarp you saved can be organized as per different categories.
Screen Write will enable you to write over your screenshots and save them.
S Finder is really handy, with this you can write what you are trying to search in your phone, anything from texts to images to videos to apps and everything else and it will find it for you. It can ever search your notes for similar references, it is that amazing.
There might be times when you need to switch to another app for something you wanted to do while you are currently using another app , but it is not so ideal to keep switching. Well your job is simplified- Just select Pen Window, draw a square of the desirable size and a box of that exact size will emerge where you are given options to select an app you want to use with the app currently open. It is that easy and you can just tap away where it changes into an icon and hides. Another of non S Pen feature allows you to mutlitask using multiwindow fucntionality but the interesting part- you can use the same application on both the windows! Yeah like chat with 2 people at the same time on the same screen.

All these features will be demoed in the following video to help you understand them better-

What is infront of us is truly remarkable. It will also have the smart features that we saw in Samsung Galaxy S4- Smart Pause, Smart Stay and Smart Scroll. They are really effective in daily use and bring you great simplicity in the task aspects of the smartphone. Samsung Galaxy Note III comes out on Sept 27. Hold your breaths people, it is going to be “big”.
