We had this really weird curved phones that came out last year. It made no sense at all. Samsung has finally taken the curved OLED display and taken a twist at it. It is being used on the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. It is just a small strip on the right size curved along the edge. The phone surely looks weird but it is still a Samsung Galaxy Note 4, but with that touch of curved display. Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is a 0.1 inch less than the Note 4 to accommodate the scaling.
It has the same software as Galaxy Note 4, the same user interface, the same specifications and same features. It is just that tinge of curved display that makes all the difference. It gives you an extended notification panel and a quick launch bar. The bottom quick launch apps are now on the right side- on the curved display.
I don’t know why they did this. They are giving an SDK to make more use of this curved OLED and develop something useful. But lets see what developers will do with this.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge will have a 5.6 inch Quad HD display. The phone will fancy 3GB of RAM and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor. That is some crazy beast like specs. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge will have a 16MP camera on the back and a 3.7 MP camera on the front. The phone will run on the v4.4.4 KitKat Android OS.
