Samsung has also released few 10 inch tablets, one of which is the Samsung Galaxy Note 800. It has everything you would want from a 10 inch tablet. It has the features derived from the TouchWiz UI that made its appearance on Samsung Galaxy Note II. The display is pretty nice, it performs pretty nice and yeah the tablet is pretty nice.

Design

Samsung Galaxy Note 800 has a pretty solid structure. Its initial design does not make you think you are dealing with a Samsung device here. It is quiet rectangular with slightly curved corners. The back lies absolutely flat and hence tablet is quiet stable. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, the Note 800 has a nice display protection. The basic operation of the device is in the landscape mode than portrait. It has nice clear, good quality speakers. It comes in black and white colours.

Display

Samsung Galaxy Note 800 Display
The display on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 was a disappointment but not so much on the Samsung Galaxy Note 800. For starters this 10.1 inch display has got great viewing angles, no problems in the sunlight too. HD playback is a place where it lacks the clarity to make full use of great entertainment on such a huge display. Reading and Gaming experience on the tablet is good. Multi window multitasking is fairly simply thanks to the size of the display and well the feature itself courtesy Samsung.

Camera

Samsung Note 800 tablet features a 5MP primary camera. It is not really amazing but quite satisfactory and good enough if you sole purpose is to share on social networking websites. The colours lack the vibrancy and detailing both which are the deciding point for a camera. Samsung has got the front camera pretty spot on with a 1.9MP sensor video calls take place with no problem and the quality is pretty good. Samsung has not gone HD yet on this tablet (front facing camera). The 5MP camera can record HD 720p video which looks really beautiful.

Software

Samsung Galaxy Note 800 derives many of its features from the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Note 800 the tablet, runs on the Android v4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich but is upgradable to v4.1 Android Jelly Bean. The multi windows functioning are available, so are the various things you can do with the stylus or as Samsung calls it- the S Pen. Google Play store has great quality tablet dedicated apps that you can make full use of.

Performance

With 2GB RAM on board and a Quad Core 1.4GHz processor on board there is no stopping this tablet from achieving crazy benchmark scores. It responds real quickly and multitasks without much problem. But well Android is Android and hence starts slowing down with time. It comes with optional internal memory of 16GB/32GB/64GB expandable to upto 64GB.

Final Thoughts

No doubts as to Samsung Galaxy Note 800 is one of the best tablets in the market available but you know which is much more classy and fast and WOW- Apple iPad 4 which is the bestselling tablet for now. Samsung still loses that quality factor in its tablet. They got some work to do. Samsung Galaxy Note 800’s camera and display are really fine. The overall experience is quite good.

Samsung Galaxy Note 800 comes for Rs. 35,490. 16GB Wi-Fi Cellular Model.
