HTC One vs Nokia Lumia 920

HTC One has been given the perfect name. With HTC’s current position it has to be the one to get them the necessary market share. They literally went all in and the final product has been beautiful. Something similar is the what Nokia went through, suffered a great fall and now trying to get back up again. Nokia Lumia 920 has been pretty awesome and their one phone to get them back in the game. So it is just fair to do a comparison between them and tell you which phone is better for you.

The HTC One has a full aluminum body. It has a very nice curve on the back which gives the user a very amazing grip to hold. The built quality just screams premium in your face. It is pretty light too compared to the Nokia Lumia 920. The Lumia has a polycarbonate back. It will take any fall, literally. It is really solid and the body is pretty glossy. It comes in various colors. HTC One’s design has also led to these microdrilled speakers which give the “Boom Sound” best of what we have experienced on a smartphone period. Design- HTC One.

This one is easy. HTC One has a 4.7 inch full HD Display compared to the 4.5 inch 720p one on the Nokia Lumia 920. Both of them shine really well. But when it comes to video playback and gaming graphics HTC One is the clear winner. It has the nice fluid motion we loath for from a phone these days though it is too much to ask. The HTC One takes it home. Display- HTC One.

Nokia Lumia 920’s Carl Zeiss lens has a huge competitor right here, the HTC One which uses ultra pixel technology to take more light into one pixel and hence better low light performance. Frankly the HTC One’s low light performance beats that of the 920. The 920’s day shots look more colorful but HTC One’s are far better detailed. Video quality of capturing is really amazing in both of them. Nokia Lumia 920 loses here too. HTC One’s camera is better.

HTC’s v5 UI is amazing. It brings you the Blink Feed and the HTC Zoe, the camera UI which of both are really pretty awesome. The blink feed offers you updates from all the apps that you have, it comes in really handy and is sort of what you get from live tiles on the windows phone 8. HTC One uses Android v4.1.2 Jelly Bean against the Windows Phone 8, this is a debate I won’t comment on but app ecosystem is way better and healthier on Android. Software- HTC One.

HTC One slogs it’s way here as well. The HTC One has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 which is a Quad Core processor clocked at 1.7GHz compared to a mere Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.5Ghz and is only dual core. The HTC One is way faster at everything than the Lumia 920. Both of them offer NFC and great Bluetooth. Both of them do not come with expandable memory. Performance- HTC One.

Final Verdict

HTC One is the clear winner, it betters the Nokia Lumia 920 on every forte. HTC One is a work of art, the camera, the sound, the body everything just makes sense and wows you. HTC One deserves a better sale number than it has. It truly scream quality and awesome. Nokia Lumia 920 is pretty awesome but just lacks on every part against the HTC One. HTC One vs Nokia Lumia 920- HTC One wins.
