Nokia Lumia 525 Review

It has been almost 1 good year of the bestselling Nokia Lumia phones in the series- the Nokia Lumia 520. We all know where Nokia’s future is headed. Just as they pack their bags, Nokia is showing us the cards that were left in their sleeve. They recently came out with the successor to this bestseller, the Nokia Lumia 525. It has been off the shelves straight away. Let’s have a closer look at this phone.

Many things have stayed the same over Nokia Lumia 525 over the original 520 and the design and built quality is one of them. Nokia Lumia 525 has the exact body as that of Nokia Lumia 520. It depends on the colour you pick up, you can either get a nice plastic body or the much adored matte built, both of which feel really good in your hands. The nice curves on the edges make the phone tailored perfectly for your hands. It is available in Cyan, Black, Red, Yellow and White.

Nokia Lumia 525 has a 4 inch 480×800 pixel display. Though it is not the most beautiful of displays if you go by the number, but it certainly is incredible with the Windows Phone 8’s flat design. Nokia Lumia 525’s display is probably the best of Lumia 620 and Lumia 720. It has more uniformity and colours look really good on the Nokia Lumia 525.

Nokia Lumia 525
Sadly just like it’s predecessor, Nokia Lumia 525 does not come with a secondary/front camera. It surely has a 5MP primary camera. The photos from the Nokia Lumia 525 look really dull in colour and average in detail, certainly not the best. The 5MP camera can also record 720p HD videos which have a better projection of colours and uniformity.

Nokia Lumia 525
With the updates in recent times, Nokia Lumia 525 comes with Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 Black OS. You just have minor changes, actually not even changes, just some additional apps and functionality. It gives you more hold on your camera’s photos and lets you create your stories with Nokia Story telling app which is a fancy way to organize your photos. It just has tons of stuff. You don’t even need to worry about apps on Windows Phone 8 as for now its amazingly established.

Though the processor stays the same, that is the Dual Core 1GHz Qualcomm processor, there is an update on the RAM. On the Nokia Lumia 520, you got 512MB RAM but here on the Nokia Lumia 525 you get 1GB of RAM. This allows you to choose form more apps as most of the apps ask for an ideal 1GB of RAM on your phone. Nokia Lumia 525 has the usual Bluetooth technology. You get about 8GB of internal memory in Nokia Lumia 525. The 1430mAh battery can provide you up to 9h of talk time on 3G.
