Nokia Asha 310 Review

Nokia’s Asha phone series, great budget feature phones ready to take just a small amount from your pocket *wink*. They provide you with a very rich looking UI and display which is 240 x 400 pixels, 3.0 inches screen having 155 ppi pixel density. It is a dual sim phone, so those of you trying to manage life in 2 sims, this phone is for you.

It certainly looks classier compared to the Samsung Galaxy Y Duos, Galaxy Ace and those other phones in the same price range. What Nokia got wrong was the pricing, the 311 and 310 are just 500 INR here and there in terms of price whereas 311 provides you alot more.

Nokia Asha 310 Design
Nokia does give in some work even in their budget smartphones in the Asha series ( Not all Asha phones are smartphones). They do catch your eye. Just small, good looking phones. Comfortable to hold, easy to use. They probably invest quiet alot in design and not neglect that part. Nokia did not hold their usual tradition in introducing colours because there are only 3 available here instead of endless colours: Black, White, Golden Light. The phone is little thick but as its small, you can navigate your hands around easily.

Nokia Asha 310 Camera
Carrying a 2MP camera, it does not really give you decent enough pictures to put somewhere, to cherish them. They should have introduced a better 3.2MP camera. But guess for the money, you need to compromise somewhere! It has no secondary camera support. The camera has no fancy features at all. As I said, compromise. The resolution of photographs that it captures is of 1600×1200 pixels.

The phone does a decent job with its 64MB RAM. Its less but along with Symbian OS, its enough. You cant multitask, its just a simple feature phone. It does not have 3G available and the GPRS and EDGE speeds available are quiet low. It does offer you connectivity via WiFi so that should be good enough when at home, college or office where you got this covered up. You get decent enough apps from the store covering your connection to the world via social media. We do recommend you not to use the browser built in this phone. You are going to bomb your head off. 310 carries just 20 MB internal memory expandable to 32/64 GB using microSD cards. But dont go that big, your phone will lag so much that even a turtle would laugh at it.

Nokia Asha 310 carries a good looking 3 inches screen which has a resolution of 240×400 pixels having a 155 ppi density. The 3 inch phone might not be ideal to watch too many videos. The display looks acutally fabulous if you dont mind the size. The colours are clean and vibrant. It does give you a scratch resistant glass. Its not gorilla glass but protects you anyway.

Final Thoughts

Quiet a cool device to get for such a small price. Its not a smartphone, just a brilliant touchscreen phone. If it was a smartphone we wont be using the word brilliant anywhere in this article. Trust me. But, if you really are interested in a better phone we recommend you buy 311, its kind of a good wannabe smartphone. The most basic, it does not go down to anything more than this. But if you can, 310 is quiet impressive as a feature phone.
