Nexus devices no more- Google is pulling the switch

Google is killing the Nexus devices this year. Google I/O 2014 will be held in June 2014 where we might officially hear about it. The Nexus phones and tablets will be replaced by “Android Silver” projects. They will be more premium high end devices. Google is kind of worried about their vision for Android. HTC phones and a few others tell you that the phone is “Powered By” Android. But then there are phones that don’t. We all know that the selling point is Android.

Google is planning to achieve more with the pure vanilla Android. They want to power it up more. Not just on the software side but also on the hardware front. The clear vision shall be revealed in June 2014 at Google I/O for all we know now is there is no Nexus 6 succeeding the Nexus 5. Nexus was for developers originally but then Google got greedy maybe. Android Silver is again going to be developer centric.
