Motorola Moto G 2014 Review

If someone that initiated the change in budget smartphones it was Motorola with the Moto G. Moto G was the first budget smartphone from a mainstream smartphone maker that was able to do incredibly well by introducing the best specifications and optimization for a price that was just unbelievably low. Now this legendary phone has a sequel and it is here to blow your mind away.

Motorola Moto G surely got a kick into the design as well as built quality. The Moto G feels a more quality phone than ever before. It has this incredible high quality matte back and that grips your hand like it was tailor made of it. Most of the phones now by mainstream smartphone makers take the design seriously, well except Samsung and produce phones that are comfortable for your hands. The new Moto G 2014 is larger and slimmer. It fits your pocket rather easily. The earlier model was way too thick compared to what Moto G is now.

The display is now 5 inches with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels HD display. The display is much rather more colourful and with a much warmer saturation. Even though the earlier model was 4.7 inches, the 0.3 difference does not really make it any less dense for your eyes. For what it is worth the whole colour and saturation difference makes this phone look better. The whole 5 inch number is surely going to attract a lot of people. Moto G 2014 will surely beat all the competition around the price tag of Moto G 2014.

The camera is still the 8MP camera and the exact same sensor. Moto G 2014 has the exact same camera as that of the Moto G 2013. It does not matter if they say it is different because the results are the same. You see the same performance over similar lighting conditions. It just has a better interface. The video quality is the same as well. No difference here to tell you about.

Moto G 2014 also runs on vanilla Android- that is the pure version of Android. It runs on the v4.4.4 KitKat and will surely get the update of Android L. Motorola does not really use a user interface and does not have any sort of software innovation developed into it like the Motorola Moto X.

You get the incredible Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor running your phone along with a GB of RAM. Moto G 2014 works really cool. It is much faster than the 2013 edition and is smoother with any launcher there is. One more thing that repelled consumers from this phone was that it did not have expandable memory but Moto G 2014 has expandable memory. Moto G 2014 gives you 8GB and 16GB internal memory models and is expandable to as much as 32GB.
