Motorola Moto E Review

Bye, bye other budget smartphone vendors, Motoroloa Moto E has released. It was sold out within minutes of release. Flipkart’s servers held its composure thankfully. Motorola Moto E is something people were always looking for in a budget smartphone. And every time the excuse would be “you could not expect so much for something that costs so less”. Well Motorola Moto E has changed that forever.

Motorola Moto E has the same subtle back curved like the Moto G and the Moto X the parent and grand parent of Moto E respectively. The matte built just sits on the palm in the most perfect way. The front does not look all that awesome but it surely is not of low quality. Motorola Moto E’s body is actually water resistant (not water proof, you cannot dip it inside water) and scratch proof, something that just boosts the phone’s appearance for a long time. Design wise it is just what we saw on Moto G and Moto X.

Most budget smartphone makers start to go wrong when they think consumers want a larger display more than a sharp display. Motorola offers you just about the correct combination for an exceptional price. Motorola Moto E comes with a 4.3 inch with a resolution of 540×960 pixels. That surely is pretty awesome. It is not the sharpest but with the ideal size and that resolution you cannot really see any broken pixels. It looks really good to the eyes and it comes out with bright colours. They seem a bit over saturated but that’s kind of okay.

The 5MP sensor works pretty okay but cameras have not been a strong suit of Motorola so far. It just gets the work done. Yes it is much better than almost all the budget smartphone sensors. Motorola Moto E takes clean photos but they lack the colour outlook that you might expect. The video recording quality is pretty good, but no it does not record full HD. There is sadly no front facing camera.

Software and Performance

Motorola Moto E runs with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, it is one of the best processors with great optimization. You really would not fail to appreciate the ease with which your phone responds and goes by doing your work. Budget smartphone game has been changed for the good. I have never held a phone below $200 which works so fluently. Motorola Moto E has 1GB of RAM and runs on the Android v4.4 KitKat with a guaranteed update to further versions. Motorola Moto E also lets you expand memory from the available 4GB that you already get up to 32GB. Motorola Moto E is a keeper.

Motorola Moto E comes for Rs. 6999
