Micromax Canvas A177 Juice

Micromax just keeps on coming and coming. They have released a lower end budget smartphone called the Micromax Canvas “Juice” A177. They have come a long way from their ground breaking Micromax Canvas A110 that literally changed their future in the smartphone industry. This new one is a much toned down sidekick of the A110. Micromax Canvas Juice A177 might be the phone for you if the budger is too tight. Let us dive in and have a closer look at the Micromax Canvas Juice A177.

This is as basic as a phone gets. Hoping for too much might be wrong. The structure of the phone is simple and the built is real cheap. I guess that is what you get for this price I would say. Micromax Canvas Juice A177 is a large phone, not particularly heavy but large. It might fit some pockets and might not fit some others. The plastic is kind of fragile I would say, do not drop the phone under any circumstances. The rough texture does not help the fact that I do not like it at all. But I will say again, this is what you get for the price.

The display is nothing to great either. Micromax Canvas Juice A177 has a 5 inch display with a resolution that might not be suited the best for a very dense colour presentation. I would have loved to have a 720p display on this but that is too much to ask. Micromax Canvas Juice A177 has okay-ish colours but what is wrong is the detailing. The 5 inch display’s resolution is just 480×800 pixels. That accounts for a pixilated display in other words a grainy experience.

Micromax Canvas Juice A177 offers you a VGA front camera and a 5 MP primary camera. The primary camera takes some good photos considering it is a Micromax lens but the front camera is just terrible. No other word to describe VGA than terrible. The primary camera on the Micromax Canvas Juice A177 is nothing fancy but it gets the job done. If you are into smartphone photography you are kidding yourself looking at this phone. It performs terrible under low light conditions.

Thanks to Android’s new KitKat, now companies like Micromax and Lava can roll out v4.2 Jelly Bean. Micromax Canvas Juice A177 runs on the Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean with nothing too fancy. It retains all the basic functionality or features of Android over a very scratchy Micromax skin. It is more or less lighter on the processor than touchwiz, so that is that.

If there is something the recent technological boom can give you is a seamless smartphone experience for an affordable price. Micromax Canvas A177 Juice has a Dual Core 1.2GHz processor which might not be exactly wow these days but along with 1GB of RAM it will give you a good smartphone experience. It will lag here and there but it is much better than the Micromax phones a year back. Now this Micromax Canvas A177 Juice is worth having with all the features you need to have. Simply astonishing for the price you pay.

Passion and Inspiration drives my life and I get them both from technology. Getting to write about it is an absolute bliss. The bliss comes from people reading what you want to convey. There is nothing better for a person than his views to be heard. I am a music, tv shows, movies and technological enthusiast.
