LG Google Nexus 5 Review

The first device to have packed the much awaited Android v4.4 KitKat is finally here- Google Nexus 5 is out and it is selling big. The compelling specs along with the amazing price just help it case. We love the Nexus 5, it is everything we hoped for. Best thing about a Nexus release is you know what you are going to get- No fancy features, so the group of people waiting in line for this one are a complete different set which would go in line for a Samsung. LG Google Nexus 5 is like crazy awesome, read on and know why.

So the LG Google Nexus 5 is nothing like the Nexus 4 in it’s design philosophy. Most smartphone makers have that thing they do over and over again for a long time. So the Nexus 5 will feel new for even those who used to have the Nexus 4. The Nexus 5 has ditched the glass built back and gone for a more matte like built which still feels really cool in our hands. The phone is really awesome, it is easy to hold even for the significant size it has. It fits in your pocket just like any other phone. Also, it is exceptionally light at just 128 grams.

LG Google Nexus 5
Well this is exciting, so the LG Nexus 5 has a FULL HD 1080p 5 inch display! Yes, it is a full-fledged 5 inch display and yes full HD! This is simply awesome. The text looks razor sharp. The colours have real good tone and balance. They are also very consistent. The viewing angles on this gorgeous Nexus 5 display are great. Videos are to die for, I might just look at this display all day and all night. Gaming is not going to be much of a problem as well.

LG Google Nexus 5
LG Google Nexus 5 comes with an 8MP camera. In the earlier Google Nexus i.e the Nexus 4, the camera was not really it’s strong suit. This one is surely an improvement. The colours seem to be better and more to the true tone but not near to perfection. The saturation levels are pretty low just like on the Nexus 4. The video capture quality seems to be stunning though. Nexus 5 does bring a very interactive camera app that you will love. It does a fairly decent job in low light photos as well as HDRs. We would recommend this for really casual photography. But a big thumbs up to the full HD video capture quality on this Nexus 5.

LG Google Nexus 5 KitKat Android v4.4
The Nexus products are known for their “stock Android” bundle. This keeps the processor and RAM fresher and better in optimization. It really is amazing. And as we are all aware already about that fabulous app ecosystem we have been provided from Android both for users and developers. This is the first product in the line of Android products to have the Android v4.4 KitKat. It does come out kind of different but not very fresh. The design is still pretty solid. You get to use Google Now completely hands free just like Moto X. KitKat now removes your SMS app and unites it all with Google Hangouts but yes you can undo that too.

So the LG Google nexus 5 comes with an outrageous Snapdragon 800 which is deadly fast. Lag would not be in it’s tech dictionary along with that Android v4.4 and 2GB of RAM. You do not get to expand memory. It comes with internal memory options of 16GB and 32GB. The battery life is amazing too, you can get through with more than a day without charging. It really is awesome. You do get NFC connectivity along with Bluetooth v3.0 and USB v2.0 for sharing and pairing with files and devices.

Final Verdict

Buy a Google Nexus 5 only if you do not want featureful phone. This phone is top in quality and its freakishly clean with the hardware as well as software design. The specs along with that price tag make this phone really tempting to buy. If you put your money to it, you are not going to be disappointed.

This phone is priced at Rs. 29,000 for the 16GB model
