Lenovo K900 Review

One more company has entered the smart phone making business from making computers and computer peripherals. Lenovo K900 is a high end phone with the price in the mid-range. It provides its users with a great reliable 2GHz Dual Core Intel Atom processor. You can trust the optimization and unlike most Android phones the performance won’t degrade over a period of time. We could not have wished for more with this price tag and the phone is really great a performer.

The basic structure of the Lenovo K900 is really shard and literally edgy. The phone a perfect rectangle cut with built of a premium metal. It is not curved anywhere whatsoever. It lies perfectly flat on the back. It weighs about 160 grams which is standard for a 5.5 inch display smart phone. Lenovo K900 is also very thin and fits well in your hands. The bezel size has been reduced so you can carry this in one hand. It comes in two colours- Black and Grey.

Lenovo K900 Display
You get the wellness of a 5.5 inch full HD 1080p display on the Lenovo K900. The viewing angles are great hence even in sunlight the display is visible and visible clearly. Detailing of the display is really sharp with good colours. It carries a resolution of 1080×1900 pixels with pixel density of 401ppi. This display is also comparable to the one on the more expensive Galaxy S4 and HTC One. Full HD video looks really good though it does not give that flawless motion to frames, but still is pretty accurate. Black levels are acceptable but they still kind of don’t fit well for a 1080p display. This display can take input from the 5.5 inch display with all the 10 fingers at once- multitouch.

Lenovo K900 has a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera. The 13MP primary camera takes pretty decent shots. It does beat the phones around its category but no doubt the Nokia Lumia 820 has a better camera and so does the Nexus 4. But both of them give over saturated images whereas the balance is pretty good in Lenovo K900. The camera can also take full HD 1080p video which looks really beautiful. Front facing camera is “just fine” for video calls.

The new Lenovo smartphone uses the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean as their operating system. The user interface remains the same like most Android phones. Though the look of the UI and the way you customize the phone is totally different and new. Play Store is getting better quality apps and Jelly Bean offers more APIs than older versions hence more creative bone to your phone.

Performance and Memory

Like we mentioned earlier, Lenovo K900 runs on the 2GHz Dual Core Intel Atom processor along with 2GB of RAM. The main memory being large allows you to multitask better and faster but it is the harmony between the RAM and main memory of 16GB that works nicely to provide you a great smartphone experience. There is no card slot hence the 16GB is all you have. The battery life is pretty average, it gives you 12h of talktime and 300h of standby time on 3G.

Final Thoughts

Lenovo K900 is possibly the best choice if you want your phone to with high power and optimization and not slow down over a period of time like most Android devices. The premium metal finish makes the phone have a great built that your money compliments too. If you want more memory then well consider elsewhere. Otherwise the phone is pretty cool for the things it has.
