Lenovo IdeaPhone S720

Lenovo just released a decent new phone called the Lenovo IdeaPhone S720. It is not a great deal of awesome but it is pretty decent. It comes out from the lowest ends of the budget smartphone market. The phone is right there for those looking for amazing quality and power at the same time.

Lenovo IdeaPhone S720 comes out having a really great design. The back panel is really soft and feels very comfortable to hold. The phone is not too large also. The Lenovo IdeaPhone fits very easily in your hands and pockets. The built is really good overall and commendable. I really like the HTC Desire C kind of design on this. You can hold the Lenovo IdeaPhone forever without ant problems. Design wise, this phone is amazing.

With a decent display size of 4.5 inch and resolution of 540×960 the Lenovo IdeaPhone S720 does not have an HD display but a really accurate and great one anyway. This resolution is not a conventional one but supported best for the 4.5 inch display they wanted to provide us. The display on the Lenovo IdeaPhone is really beautiful. It has great colours, great texture, not so great black levels and decent viewing angles. Gaming and video watching are quiet good on this phone.

Cameras are a significant entity on the smartphone these days. Everyone wants one because they just love Instagram or posting Display Pictures on various social sites and so on. On budget phones you need to have a decent one so that the picture does come out well. On Lenovo IdeaPhone, it is just that. The 8MP sensor captures really good photos. The colours look very nice and averagely detailed too. The video capturing quality is pretty average.

I do not know why but this phone comes with a much, much older v4.0 Android ICS. Their UI is pretty different and fresh but the base i.e the Android OS v4.0 is old and world has moved on from those standards. You still get loads of apps and customization. It is the best platform for both developers and users.

Though the processor on board might not seem to be fast enough in terms of numbers, but it is pretty awesome because it is better optimized. The Lenovo IdeaPhone S720 comes with a Dual Core 1GHz processor. It is optimized to not lag or throb from customization. It fuels your apps very easily and can handle moderate gaming. Lenovo IdeaPhone also has 512MB of decent RAM and 4GB internal memory expandable to 32GB. Battery life on board is pretty decent as well, it gives you proper 8 hours of talktime and backup that never ends. It comes with Bluetooth v3.0 for sharing and pairing.

Final Thoughts

It is a really good phone and is correctly priced for what it offers. Lenovo IdeaPhone S720 is a sure buy if you have “only” this much of money to spend on a smartphone. It really feels good in hands, the usage, the display, everything about it is just awesome.

Lenovo IdeaPhone S720 comes for Rs. 8999
