Karbonn Titanium X Review

“Here goes nothing”, that is what I think Karbonn has been doing for a very long time. We all know they have a long lasting rivalry with Micromax at creating some of the best budget smartphones. Now, both the companies have built large revenue and shifted their power over mid ranged phones. Karbonn has released what they call the Titanium X. Thankfully this one promises no gimmicky features and hence nothing really backfires (yet).

Karbonn Titanium X is average in looks. It doesn’t make you crazy when you hold it, nor does it make you want to throw it away. The phone is pretty average in it’s weight and you as per that goes, you won’t have any real problems holding it. The bezels on the Karbonn Titanium X are closer than what we have seen on their phones before. It certainly looks a tad better that way. The size is considerate and almost all the phones in the market are more towards these dimensions hence telling you if it would fit your pocket would be stupidity.

Promises are really high, and these companies made it happen. Karbonn Titanium X comes with a 5 inch full HD 1080×1920 pixel display. It is really astonishing to see Karbonn making an actual accurate full HD display. Though the resolution was present on their previous models, something was just off. They have surely overcome that in the display department of the Karbonn Titanium X. The phone’s display has really good colours and it depicts the subjects with great sharpness. I had no major complaints with Karbonn Titanium X’s display when I used it.

Karbonn Titanium X is full of surprises. Like the display, even the camera was not that great. But now, this one has a stunning 13MP camera. No, I am not saying because of the number of “MP” it has. The camera surely captures great photographs. Though the images are under saturated, they look pretty nice for a phone of this price. Karbonn Titanium X’s recording capability is also amazing, it takes crisp full HD videos. You get ton of features from touch to focus, to panorama to HDR on this camera.

This phone runs the most popular version of the Android family, the v4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Karbonn Titanium X has a really good user interface. It is easy to figure out even for a kid and it certainly stays true to Android’s usual UIs. Karbonn Titanium X would also enable you to gain power to deep customization options and loads of apps.

Karbonn Titanium X has a decently fast 1.5GHz Quad Core processor along with 2GB of RAM. This really is a very decent performer. Like most Karbonn phones, it just starts to die out because of the heavy demand from Android. It most certainly gets sticky than other Android phones and optimization is to blame. You get 16GB internal storage along with an option of 32GB expandable. You get NFC support on Karbonn Titanium X which is also a surprise for me.

Karbonn Titanium X comes for Rs. 16700
