Karbonn is also cranking up their quality with time. The recently released one of their new phones which seems quiet promising, but is it really? It is named the Karbonn Smart A27+. This new smart phone by Karbonn comes with a better display, a qHD display with a resolution of 540×960 pixels. The design and the basic look of the phone also seems to have improved compared to their previous models. Karbonn still needs to go a long way. For the price on the phone, the specifications are quiet legit. I do not know what do people generally prefer you know, the huge display, looks, performance, what? I think we might have to do a survey and get to you?
Karbonn has certainly learnt from the shortcoming of their previous phones in range of Rs.6000 to Rs. 12000. The Karbonn Smart A27+ is has a better built than any other phones that they have introduced, it is similar to the Titanium S5. The finish is quiet smooth, it is fully made out of plastic. The whole body is kind of curved but very minutely. The edges are cut off fully flat and joint with the back which is also very minutely curved. So far only the Black and White coloured models have been introduced. It comes with the usual 3.5 mm headphone jack, volume rockers and lock button. The speakers on board are loud but not very clear when at its loudest config.
Karbonn Smart A27+ hosts a qHD TFT Capacitive Touchscreen display which is 5 inch long diagonally. It has a resolution of 540×960 pixels. The display is quiet wonderful to be frank, even I am surprised as to how good the display actually looks. The colours are crisp and very accurate. Even the HD content let it be images or video, looks pretty amazing on this qHD display. Karbonn has probably used some good software image coding to improve the pixels too (might have) because the display is surprisingly beautiful. As I always say with the 5 inch screen you can make full use of it leaving behind eye fatigue and play games for long hours or even watch a movie. The viewing angles are pretty average. The black levels are not deep enough. But overall quiet a good screen really wonderful with it’s outlook.
The latest addition to the budget smartphone by Karbonn to their series of phones, the Karbonn Smart A27+ comes with an 8MP primary camera. The photographs in normal light conditions look pretty nice, though they lack the appropriate saturation ( it is under saturated) and then there are the highly saturated images by Nokia’s Lumia phones. The perfect saturation is quiet difficult to be achieved even by the best of the sensors available. The secondary camera is a 1.2 MP camera. The back facing camera can record HD video but not full HD 1080p quality. The video is captured in VGA quality by the front facing camera, not really desirable.
Karbonn Smart A27+ is hosted on the heart of Android’s v4.1.2 Jelly Bean. This mobile operating system is one of the best in the world right now. This phone provides a brilliant environment for both users and developers. Undoubtedly this phone has the best software developing kit you have seen on any platform till date. It now gives you real time dynamic updation of how your code will work. The jelly bean operating system is really user friendly and makes full use of the good amount of APIs that have been provided by Google with every update to make the applications better. Most of the applications are available for free on the Google Play Store which is one reason why the outsell every other mobile OS in the whole of the world.
Performance and Memory
Karbonn Smart A27+ has a 1GHz Dual Core processor and 512MB RAM. This is pretty much the minimum one would want out of a phone these days. But with the applications over the OS, this is more than sufficient. It always varies though. The performance of all the Dual Core 1GHz clocked processors are not the same (it doesn’t take a genius to figure that out). The Karbonn Smart A27+ has quiet average response time. It can do most of the tasks without lag but somewhere sometime it does tend to slow. You will have to monitor the main memory usage pretty closely. The Dual SIM that may or may not be used it a liability these days as it tends to slow down the phone’s performance drastically. The internal memory on this phone is about 4GB which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD cards. The phone supports both 2G and 3G networks. You can also connect to the internet via the Wi-Fi. The phone gives up to 400hrs of standby time and 7h of talk time on 2G and 4h of talktime on 3G.
Karbonn Smart A27+ is a smart smartphone. The phone has a good quality overall in every aspect for the cost it asks for. Yes it seems pretty legit. Thanks to them that they revamped the display and built over their previous models. The Karbonn S5 Titanium is a different league, here we talk about the real smaller budget ground. No doubt Karbonn Smart A 27+ can give stiff competition to the other brands, even Samsung.
