Huawei MeidaPad 7 Lite

Huwaei is doing everything right, they did so in the smart phones arena and they are doing so in the tablets as well. Their most basic tablet the Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite is a 7 inch tablet which has the looks and the power to take it through and shine like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and other 7 inch tablets.

The built quality of this tablet is top calls, with a brilliant metallic finish for the most part of the back you will really love holding this tablet in your hands. It has just the right degree of curves to feel great and make your grip comfortable. The back case is more like a shell you might find on smartphones, something very similar to the casing of Nokia Lumia 620 but bigger and better. It weighs just right- 370g and you would not have any problems related to its portability.

The display is really rich in colour. It misses out on detailing part. There is some kind of pixilation visible on the icons itself. Uniformity is missing, though the colour tone is great you can see it is kind of not that uniform in fusing with other colours. It has got great viewing angles, read play and watch without any problems of it being not visible properly. It has a resolution of 600×1024 pixels not so standard yet good enough. No it is not a HD display, sorry folks. Huawei MeidaPad 7 Lite has a pixel density of 170ppi.

The camera on the Huawei is much better than what you would find on any HCL tablet or a Micromax tablet, exponentially better actually. Though the primary sensor is just 3.5 MP it has an amazing clarity to its images. The colour saturation is just right. But even the pictures taken in broad daylight have some sort of noise visible, they are not very clear. Low light performance is average. It can record beautiful 720p HD videos. The front facing VGA camera is not something very incredible but ok enough to get the job done of video calling.

Huawei MeidaPad 7 Lite runs on the Android v4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich no further updates available hence no Jelly Bean for this tablet if you buy it. It offers great customization, it is so open Facebook totally revamped the user interface of Android and introduced Facebook Home. But it is that openness that eats too much of RAM off. Google Play, use the place get some apps, enjoy.

This beauty of a tablet Huawei MeidaPad 7 Lite has a Dual Core 1.2GHz processor along with 1GB of RAM. Together they work really well. This is one of the better optimized tablets we have used. There is less of lag and more of actual work. It comes with 8GB of internal memory expandable to 32GB. Bluetooth connectivity is enabled. It takes a SIM to connect as well with 3G enabled.

Final Thoughts

Huawei MideaPad 7 Lite is just right for you. Great stability, feels nice in your hands and performs well. That is all we need. You cant flaunt it, it does not look “classy” but good. For a general purpose tablet it can knock your socks off. Brilliantly done.
