HTC One V is a bit different than the conventional design of other HTC phones. The HTC One V is nicely curved on the corners but instead of being totally straight, they have the microphone end side bent at an angle. It just gives the phone a different look altogether. It stand out. The material on the phone is like this really amazing smooth metal. It is not aluminum. Its dimensions are 120.3 x 59.7 x 9.2 mm (4.74 x 2.35 x 0.36 in) weighing just 115 grams. That is incredibly light. The phone just shines, literally. You won’t be tired holding it everyday and falling in love with it. People would be nothing but jealous, it that kind of a phone.

Almost all the HTC phone cameras are at par compared to the 8MP cameras on most of the phones around the world. The mid ranged HTC phones have 5MP cameras, and so does the HTC One V. The detail that it captures in photographs is simply amazing. It also does such a better job in low light photo capturing. The camera has LED Flash and autofocus. The images are captured in 2592 x 1944 pixels of resolution. The camera can record HD Video and take images simultaneously, a feature that you won’t find even in the best of the best phones. It can detect faces and smile. The video capturing is not in full HD but 720p. But there is a catch to everything, it does not have a secondary camera. So no video calling for you from this piece. Sorry.

One thing HTC is known for- beautiful displays and this is just another one in its cage. With 3.7 inches having 252 ppi pixel density, it is just pretty to look at. The colors are rich and real, they are sharp and feels very pleasant to the eyes. Such high density and quality displays are not even seen on 23,000 INR phones and this is ten grand less. Browse, watch and play, it just makes everything look very attractive. It has a resolution of 480×800 pixels at 252 ppi pixel density. Look what I am talking about?

Running on the Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, you will never have a problem on the OS front. It is a smart and user friendly operating system. Known for its simplicity, Android is the largest home for smartphones. The open source makes it the best for developers. It is so open that Facebook built its own “home” inside and completely changed Facebook experience on so many phones. Android has a lot of apps, cool amazing and interactive. The HTC uses its Sense 4.0 UI that makes exploring this phone much easier and faster. It is so much better and accepts such different “fun: gestures, it feels amazing. Many people do not like the Sense UI but we see no reason not to.

Performance and Memory

HTC One V has a single core 1 GHz processor that is super fast. It performs the tasks quickly and properly divides power to the already running apps and manages them well. It occasionally crashes, especially while opening the camera but that is somewhere most of the phones do. It has a 512 MB RAM, internal storage of 4GB and expandable to up to 32 GB using microSD card slots. The 512MB RAM is quiet enough as of today to play bulky games too. There is no NFC, it runs bluetooth v4.0 for file sharing. You get WLAN, 2G and 3G compatibility for your networks.

Final Thoughts

Another one of those HTC phones you would love to have. You actually get more than the money you pay. We agree it should have had secondary camera but for things it already has, incredible. If you love your screen, the way the phone looks and love photographs, this is so your phone to take. If you are too much into gaming, you can go for a higher end HTC phone for another 4,000 INR.
