HTC Desire X

For the HTC lovers, the Desire series has been the one to love. HTC Desire X is one of the most brilliant additions to this league. Facing competition up front taking the Samsung Galaxy S Duos head on, this phone still works way better. Not just works, looks feels and performs, just does everything so much better than the Galaxy S Duos. HTC Desire X won’t disappoint, not on paper not on hand. HTC never leaves quality behind. It always makes us feel the money is worth paying, lets take a look deeper into this phone.

Made up of one of the finest quality of materials there is, this phone feels amazing. The bar like structure makes it look stunning and it fits perfectly in your hand with just the right curves at the right place. You get the 3.5 mm headphone jack, volume rocker and dedicated camera button. It comes in just two simple colors, white and black. The audio engineering is been up and crafted by beats audio that gives you the finest quality sound, its so soothing to the ears that you fall in love with it. The phone seems strong but buy a case anyway to protect it.

HTC Desire X has one of the best or if not the best displays there is in a smartphone of price range of around 15,000 INR. The display is a 4-inch Super LCD touchscreen display. With resolution of 480×800 pixels and 233 ppi pixel density this phone looks so beautiful that it makes you want to embrace it for the rest of the day. It is not full HD but it views HD content in a very crisp manner. The 16 million colour screen displays such real and rich colours all you can say is WOW. Some displays just have it on paper but this one got everything right. The large 4 inch size makes everything easier for the eyes to track and feel relaxed in intense gaming or video viewing times.

Memory and Data

So the Desire X comes with a 4GB internal memory which is expandable to up to 32GB by inserting your microSD cards. The main memory is that of 768MB. We are happy to know its not the standard 512MB RAM like the other phones in it’s range. You get 2G and 3G wave bands for the data. You also get the WLAN. Blutooth on this device is the v4.0. Sadly no NFC. You also have the usual microUSB v2.0 slot to transfer files by directly connecting your device.

With its 1Ghz processor and 768MB RAM it out performs most of the phone even ahead of its league. For our case, we found the whole experience better than the Samsung Galaxy Grand! It does not lag much, it does not trouble you with occasional crash of applications. It does a very good job to run your apps and provide them the juice to run with lots of things going in the back end. There is so much that device has achieved that it makes the users say is stunning. I think it lacks on the front of running really bulky games such as Asphalt 5, it just takes a little bit more time that requires to load though it runs perfectly smooth.

The heart of this device lays with Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It uses the HTC Sense 4.0 UI that looks wonderful. Android has amazing amount of apps- games, entertainment, professional, books and just everything in every category. If there is a new app coming, no way it won’t release on Android for is the largest smartphone market in the whole world. Developers have been loving the OS with Google making it par for developing arena. You have no problems in getting the new updates to apps you already have. v4.0 has good customization options, great set of useful widgets.

HTC Desire X has a brilliant 5MP Camera. It is able to achieve such great detail that has totally missed the mark on other 8MP camera phones too. For those who know, megapixel is just a number. The images are taken in 2594×1944 pixel resolution. It has LED Flash as well as auto focus. Here is the catch, just 480p quality video recording. Utter disappointment. 720p was atleast acceptable. 480p quality was on thier lowest priced smartphone the Explorer which is about 10,000 INR cheaper.

Final Thoughts

Do not even consider other phones as thy shall not stand a chance against such greatness. This phone is of top quality A-Z. Just lost its mark on the video quality front otherwise top quality smartphone for a very reasonable price. This is one of the phones that will give you power and power to show off as well. The beats audio is an absolute bliss, the sound is so clear and distinct that nothing can beat it. Its incredible what this phone offers for just 15,000 INR. We HIGHLY emphasise on buying this phone!
