HP Envy Rove 20 Review

How big could tablets be? Last we checked tablets with 10 inch displays were like huge, well now we welcome the world’s largest tablet by HP. The HP Envy Rove 20 has a display which scales to 20 inches! It’s so huge I don’t even know why they even call it a tablet. It is crazy powerful and does not know the definition of “lag”. What a beauty.

It is kind of weird calling something this big, a tablet. But it is. It scales around 12.5 inches in height and 20 inches in breath. Yeah it is pretty huge. For a tablet this big the depth is a lot too, but depth won’t matter here, or were you actually thinking you would try to put this in your pockets? The HP Envy Rove 20 weighs a lot too being as heavy as 5.5 kilograms! Start some strength training for your arms and forearms if you are considering this beast, you will need to. The front is really clean and classy, the built quality is incredible. There is a stand on the back which when lifted allows you to use this tablet as an all in one PC. It has the USB slots and even HDMI so you can connect it to your TV. The speakers are made courtesy Beats Audio technology, the sound is loud and it is of top quality. It has built in amplifiers and woofers!

Until now it should have been sank in your mind that it does carry a 20 inch display, but is it any good? HELL YEAH. The display is full HD carrying a resolution of 1600×900 pixels! The display is so dense and with Windows 8 on board it looks even better. Just put the stand on and watch a movie, feels beautiful and the picture moves flawlessly. With Intel HD 4400 GPU the graphics are insanely great! Well because of the size of the tablet we won’t say it is ideal for you to read but text has never looked so clear on a tablet. I am sold.

With something like this I don’t think you will have a primary camera and not like you are going to
lift something that weighs 5.5kg and take photographs! So yeah it does not have a camera on the rear. What it does have is a HP TrueVision HD Webcam which is an HD camera. It is beautiful for making video calls. I am easily sold on its quality too.

HP Envy Rose 20 uses the Windows 8 operating system. If you think it does not have the apps you are wrong. It comes with just brilliant ones. The games are so interactive, especially board games with such a large surface with multitouch enabled. Board games reinvented. With Windows 8 you get the perks of so many of the Microsoft’s apps. It is easy to use it and even easier to love it. It supports full multitasking and does so effectively. It is made to be all in one.

This tablet is just too powerful to be a tablet. The HP ENVY Rove 20 comes with an Intel 4th Generation Intel Core i3M processor. It is so fast it will blow your mind. RAM- ahem, are you ready to know? 16 freaking GB which is a DDR3. It works so beautifully. HP ENVY Rove 20 with the display, with the processor, graphics and RAM is just bliss. Nothing can beat it at what it is. Just amazing. This tablet also comes with a whooping 1TB of internal memory!

Final Thoughts

Well I am in love with this tablet. As weird as it sounds to me while saying it, it just is. The price is really high just like the iPad 4 or the Sony Xperia Z tablet. So if you can pay as much for something with 64GB memory and 10 inch display, why not go for the Rove 20. But yeah if you want to think about portability and the way you want to use it, then go for the smaller ones. Personally, even if you have a 10 inch tablet, each home should have one of these.
