Gionee Elife E3 Review

Gionee is doing a pretty amazing job. The Gionee Elife E3 is absolutely stunning. They are right up there with XOLO competing in “quality” budget smartphones. I would have added Micromax, but they will get there soon. Gionee Elife E3 is a lower range mid-price phone. It has all the necessary specifications you would need from a phone of this price. Without dragging this more, let’s get on to it.

The phone looks really sleek. It really is very thin. Gionee Elife E3 has this fully curved edges, both top and bottom and left-right. The built is really confusing, I do not know if I like it or dislike it. The material on the back is really smooth and made out of plastic. It is certainly not cheap that is for sure. The buttons are correctly placed and you can read it easily. The speakers on the Gionee Elife E3 work just right.

When you hold the Gionee Elife E3, it will flash you it’s really beautiful 1280×720 pixel resolution display. The display looks really nice and clean. Most importantly the display is really uniform in its colour presentation. I can stare at this display and not get bored. The videos on this display look really amazing, it cannot play full HD in its true potential obviously but 720p footage is to die for. Sharpness is not an issue, the images look perfectly fine. I highly recommend you consider this phone because it presents you one of the best displays at this price.

This is a feature full camera, the one on the Gionee Elife E3. The 8MP sensor takes stunning photographs. They are clear and well detailed. The macro shots come out really well. The user interface used is intuitive and you would love this power in your hands. You can take panoramic shots and you also have an HDR mode! This is brilliant for this price tag, but yeah it works really well. It actually is HDR. Video recording is in true full HD and the result is really beautiful. Maybe your laptop won’t be able to play it, it is that good. The front facing 2MP camera is ideal for video calls and self-portraits.

So the user interface looks really clean. It is not fancy, we do not need fancy anyway. It runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean and it goes without saying that it opens door to great customization and lots and lots of quality apps. It does not have any smart features but on the bright side it will save you RAM usage.

Gionee Elife E3 comes with 1GB of RAM and a 1.2GHz Quad Core processor. It is a beast and it scores higher than the much expensive Samsung Galaxy Grand. It responds well and can carry out the heavy games without any worries. I love the smooth feel it gives while you use the interface. For sharing you can use dropbox and Bluetooth. The battery life with the standard 1800mAh battery gives you a decent 12h talktime. Internal memory available on this device is 16GB and is expandable to 32GB.

Final Thoughts

Gionee Elife E3 is a really simple looking phone. It has raw power that you need and most of the things the common man needs these days in their checklist to consider buying a phone. The strong points of this phone would be the display and the overall performance.

Gionee Elife E3 comes for Rs. 14800
