Asus FonePad Infinity Review

Asus have cranked up the quality and performance over their phone- PadFone Infinity. It is one of the most under rated phones ever manufactured. With the big names of Apple, Samsung, HTC and Nokia no one really considers Asus but they do brilliant things with so less. It features pretty awesome stuff, it has a 5 inch full HD display, a 13MP camera (primary), Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 and loads more. But they really work together? Read on.

The Asus FonePad Infinity has one of the highest quality in built on a smart phone. It takes the premium feeling aluminium for its body and gives the consumer that little wow factor when they hold it. The looks are striking because the phone just shines through but the basic structure is pretty average. For a phone this big, it is fairly light- it weighs just about 143 grams. It is easily held in one hand but you cannot use that single hand for operation. It comes in 3 colours: Silver, Gold and Pink. Silver is the most smashing one.

Like we mentioned earlier, the Asus FonePad Infinity has a full HD 1080p display. It is really dense and actually shows the full HD videos flawlessly. With the dense pixel density of 441 ppi you got no pixilation whatsoever. The icons and the wallpapers and just so well detailed it actually mesmerises you. it is up there with the stunning displays of HTC One and Galaxy S4. It no doubt has got excellent viewing angles and deep black levels to go with.

Okay so the camera on the rear is a 13MP one. The number dose not really matter, a lot depends on how the actual lens is. This one is kind of okay, it takes averagely detailed photo when it comes to macro shots. Normal landscape shots come nice in good lighting. But even the low light capabilities are surprisingly good. The front camera does a fine job too. It has a 2MP sensor. Both the cameras are capable of shooting full HD videos which look pretty cool. It has the usual HDR mode and the panorama too.

So currently the Asus FonePad Infinity has Android v4.1.2 Jelly Bean and it is still in question if it will get the 4.3 version update. The version it does run is quiet cool, easy to get through it. With Asus’s homemade interface it is quiet nice. But it lacks those certain features you might get on the Samsung Galaxy S4 or HTC One but that also makes it lot lighter and smoother to go through. Pretty cool actually.

Asus FonePad Infinity has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor which is a Quad Core chip clocked at 1.7 GHz, awfully fast. It does respond like you are on a supercomputer only difference- you are holding it in your hand. Benchmark scores reveal it is NOT as fast as Samsung Galaxy S4 though. It has a massive 2GB of RAM too hence better multitasking. You don’t have expandable memory but have options for sufficient internal memory- 32GB or 64GB. NFC sees the light on this phone along with microUSB and Bluetooth.

Final Thoughts

See how amazing it is? As I said- under rated. It cant stand against the features of Samsung Galaxy S4 but certainly behaves with less lag and faster response compared to the GS4. If you talk about HTC One, well I would say HTC One is better with limited good features and the built missing on GS4 and being better than Asus FonePad Infinity.
