Apple iPad 3 Review

The long awaited iPad with the retina display made its way with Apple’s iPad 3. The iPad 2 remained the top selling tablet in the year following until the release of iPad 3. All the three iPads have been best sellers in 80% of world markets in tablets with no match at all. iPad 3 focused more on performance, we saw a better camera being introduced to this forte and new features following thanks to iOS 6.

iPad 3 stands on the Apple’s premium built quality that we saw on iPads and all apple products so far. It has that wonderful metallic finish that makes you feel that the money you paid for it all worth it. The main structure remains the same as well with very minute curves on the edges. The front glass is scratch resistant and is not high on glare and extra reflection. iPad 3 is a millimeter thicker than the iPad 2 and also 50 grams heavier but then it has upgraded most of its stuff and hence legit.

Apple iPad 3 Display
iPad 2’s display is no match for the iPad 3’s 9.7 inch 1536×2048 pixels resolution retina display. We were so excited, a retina display on a 10 inch screen. They must be kidding us but there weren’t. Now without a doubt there is no better display that can make look the full HD content how it does on iPad 3. It is a thing of beauty. It gives a whole new dimension and wants to content viewing from simple reading to watching a movie. With elevated GPU and the retina display the game’s graphics look simply prefect.IPS technology gives the display great viewing angles. Overall it’s the ideal display for entertainment and reading and gaming and everything else.

Apple has given importance to the camera too this time and the result is a jump from 0.7 MP Primary camera to a 5MP one! The primary camera is so good it can capture video in full HD in 1080p quality. The images come out really nice. Apple camera lenses never come short in saturation and colour tone. Front facing camera has a VGA sensor which can stream 480p video on video calls and looks far better than video call quality on iPad 2.

Apple iPad 3 provides you iOS 6 out of the box which will soon be upgradable to iOS 7 in the fall of 2013. iOS looks really amazing with its simple outlook and simplicity in its functionality. iOS 6 brings tons of new features but the iOS 7 will see a significant change in the design as well as lots of new and interesting features.

The iPad 3 has the advanced new Apple A5X chip which is clocked at 1GHz and is dual-core. It has an upgraded 1 GB of RAM which along with the processor gives your applications more fluidity and ease in work. The battery life has been improved though there is a faster processor and a retina display, now it gives you 10h of media and 720h of standby. Like other models it is available in 16/32/64GB variants.

Final Thoughts

Well there is not much to be said. It is all we hoped the iPad would be from built to performance, looks and feel. The display is simply beautiful and we could not ask for better specs and optimization on board. This is THE tablet to buy in the market as of today.
